Red Moon Pizzeria Paninoteca Griglieria Friggitoria

A look beyond the counter and it seems to be in one of the many "by the slice" pizzerias in New York. Instead we find ourselves in an unsuspected place in Palmariggi that serves excellent pizzas, succulent pieces of horse meat from the Salento tradition, mixed grills, rotisserie, donuts and various desserts, superlative burgers and even very fresh craft beers produced in the back of the shop. My complete burger, with two hundred gram Irish Angus, is the winner of the evening, I have no doubts. But on the podium it also brings with it the commendable English IPA and the friendliness of the owners. Before leaving, someone suggested me Maxi Bufalo Burger and an interesting off-menu recipe. So I have at least a couple of good reasons to go back, don't you think?!

For those who want to taste the authentic Salento puccia, this is the place to go and a must-try. The puccia with pieces of horse meat is simply fabulous. The puccia dough is expertly made, and the pieces, for those who are connoisseurs, are exactly the kind you'd find made by Salento mothers. Spectacular. The prices are fair, and I'd say I would have even paid a few euros more for the quality. Highly recommended, and congratulations again to the owner of this corner of deliciousness.

Kindness, courtesy, and thoughtfulness are the first three words that come to mind when I think of this place. Excellent food and a relaxed atmosphere. I was just passing through Otranto, but if I were to find myself in the area, I would definitely return. I'd also say the price was excellent.

*5 stars!* I just left Pizzeria Red Moon in Palmariggi, a few kilometers from Otranto. I was thrilled with how incredible it is! The cleanliness is impeccable! Every detail is meticulously taken care of. The staff was super welcoming and professional, they made us feel right at home. The pizza? Fantastic! The crust is crispy, the toppings are fresh and flavorful. The service was super fast, and the staff was very attentive to our needs. The value for money is fantastic. A truly positive experience. Modern location, very good prices, and excellent quality. The atmosphere was pleasant, but what struck me most was the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. Highly recommended!

We visited here every day during our stay. The pizza was delicious, and the arancini was also fantastic. The beer was also excellent!

The perfect place to eat fabulous pizzas... cooked to perfection, with quality ingredients. They offer self-service, meaning they don't serve tables, but that's not a problem; it's actually a way to speed things up. The atmosphere is always clean and welcoming. I recommend booking on Saturdays and Sundays.

It was a very pleasant surprise. Pizzeria, rotisserie, and takeout grill, but with a rich menu to suit all tastes. The pizza is very good, as are the steakhouse fries. But I'm still curious about the jumbo burgers, the heifer, and the Irish Angus. I'll have to come back 😅. Very friendly staff, and the environment is clean and tidy. Highly recommended.
